This item looked great for my 15 month old who will not sleep with a blanket. I bought the size for an 18 month old. Unfortunately it was GIANT. It could have fit a 10 year old.

We really need a footed sleep sack for our baby now that the temps are getting colder but I have no options because this comes in only size L or XL, the large saying 12-18 months which should fit my son but it is the hugest thing. It literally could fit a 2 year old toddler. My husband said he knew a very short adult woman in college who could easily wear it, it's that big. And my son is really long. He's 99th percentile in length. He is wearing 12-18 month clothes at 8 months old. He is in the range for length that's noted for this sleep sack. Halo needs to get their sizing in line with standard clothing sizing for babies and they need to offer a smaller size in this item. I'm not putting him in a sleep sack without feet because he flips over a lot sleeping and loves to move his legs where he wants them, up on the bars of the crib, etc, and I know a closed sack would bother him and keep him awake. I went ahead and kept this but we'll be using it a year from now when he's 2! Seriously.

Yes, I agree, this does run a tad bit big...(my baby just turned 1, I ordered the 12-18mos).....BUT this is the BEST Sleepsak. Because of the leg openings, I used it when I put my baby in the stroller today for a walk...he stayed warm and I didn't have to worry about a blanket falling off. Just ordered another one! Target got it to me in 3 days too...VERY HAPPY!!

This arrived a couple of days ago, and I think we're going to return it. My son stopped wearing the regular sleep sacks when summer started, and was in a medium then, so we figured a large would be just right (his size matches up with the sizing chart, too). Well, it's HUGE. I'm not even sure it's worth putting on him for probably another year, it's so big (held it up to him, and it's probably 8" taller than he is). Very disappointing, considering how much he and we liked the regular sleep sacks. I just doubt those will work out anymore now that he's almost walking. For what it's worth, it looks just as nice as the regular ones we used to buy.

This is a great sleeper -- warm, doesn't wear out-- but be aware the sizes are huge. I bought the Early Walker XLarge for my 18 month old, thinking it would be a bit big but he would wear it into his 2s. This thing is so big that it is too large for my 3.5 year old! The sizing descriptions (even on Halo's own website) are misleading, so I'd advise purchasing a size smaller than you think you would otherwise require.
